Customer Impact: Customers may observe unreliable or failed Ethernet PHY communication on carrier-board second Ethernet interfaces when using certain PHY devices connected to the shared MDIO bus. Symptoms can include PHY initialization failures, inability to detect the PHY correctly, or unexpected MDIO register access affecting multiple PHYs simultaneously.
Description: The SoM Ethernet PHY uses SMI address 0 (unicast), and the MDIO bus is shared between the SOM and the carrier board. Because of that it is not possible to use an Ethernet PHY on the carrier board that honors the 0 SMI broadcast address.
Workaround: Do not use Ethernet PHYs on the carrier board that respond to MDIO/SMI address 0 as a broadcast address. When designing carrier boards for Verdin AM62P, ensure all external Ethernet PHYs are configured to use non-zero MDIO addresses and that selected PHY devices do not treat address 0 as broadcast on a shared MDIO bus.
Customer Impact: The AM62P V1.0 revision does not meet the specified input voltage requirements.
Description: The AM62P V1.0 doesn't work if the supply voltage is below 3.225V in idle or 3.275V under stress (CPU, GPU, WiFI, ETH).
Workaround: The input voltage must remain within the range of 3.28 V to 5.5 V.
Customer Impact: Due to the floating signal, the SD Card could receive short duration glitches on its internal state machine clock. These short glitches could cause it to enter an unexpected or locked state. The only way to reset the SD Card would be to power cycle the SoM. In addition, the floating signal can compromise long-term reliability of a device due to excess shoot-through current.
Description: The pull-down resistor R29 for the SD_1_CLK signal is not assembled. Without the external pull-down, the SD Card clock input will be floating until software has completed the initialization of the MMC1 peripheral.
Workaround: There is no workaround. Basic SD card functionalities are available.
Customer Impact: The reset button may unexpectedly power off the module.
Description: When pressed, the reset button intermittently powers down the module instead of performing a system reset as intended.
Workaround: There is no identified workaround.
